Document Controller (Shipyard/Marine Industry)
Location: Singapore
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, Office Hours
Salary: SGD 3,000 – SGD 3,500 per month
Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Document Controller to support marine and shipbuilding projects by managing engineering and project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
The successful candidate will be responsible for document registration, tracking, version control, distribution, and ensuring compliance with document control procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate engineering activities for shipbuilding, ship repair, conversion, and offshore projects.
- Receive, register, and maintain project documents including drawings, specifications, calculations, reports, certificates, manuals, and vendor submissions.
- Maintain and update document registers, transmittals, and document tracking systems.
- Ensure proper document numbering, revision control, filing, storage, and retrieval in accordance with company procedures.
- Monitor document review cycles and follow up with project stakeholders on outstanding submissions and approvals.
- Coordinate and consolidate review comments from engineers and project teams.
- Issue approved and Issued for Construction (IFC) documents to production teams and relevant departments.
- Maintain records of all issued documents, revisions, transmittals, and project correspondence.
- Support project teams in ensuring accurate and timely document flow throughout project execution.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2–3 years of Project Engineering experience within the marine, shipbuilding, ship repair, offshore, or maritime industry.
- Familiarity with shipyard engineering processes, classification requirements, and marine regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
- Strong project coordination, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Good communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willing to travel to Batam and overseas when required for project meetings.
