Job Title: Full Stack Software Engineer Intern

Description

Are you excited by the idea of building software that brings AI into real-world products?

We are looking for motivated and curious iSTEM undergraduates and postgraduates to join our AI team. In this role, you will work closely with experienced engineers to develop your software engineering skills while contributing to real AI-related projects. You will support the development and integration of AI solutions into modern software products, helping turn ideas and prototypes into practical applications used by actual users.

This internship gives you the opportunity to experience both front-end and back-end development, explore how AI technologies are integrated into software systems, and gain exposure to the full product development process. You will be part of a fast-paced, hands-on environment where you can learn, experiment, contribute ideas, and see how technology creates real-world impact.

The role offers a monthly stipend of SGD 1,800 for successful applicant.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the engineers to deliver both front-end and back-end software solutions.
• Assist in developing, testing, and maintaining software applications, internal tools, AI-enabled features, and product enhancements.
• Explore, evaluate and integrate on potential systems/software relevant to solve business needs and propose to the team.
• Participate in rapid prototyping activities to help transform concepts into working software solutions.
• Assist in preparing technical documentation, user guides, testing notes, and development records.
• Conducting system testing to ensure application conform to the user and operating system.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, product teams, designers, and QA.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related technical discipline.
• Proficiency in development using Python, Golang, TypeScript, or similar modern programming languages.
• Foundational knowledge of version control systems, such as Git.
• Basic understanding of databases, including database selection, usage, or integration.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Familiarity with UI/UX design principles is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of DevOps practices and tools is highly advantageous like Docker and Docker Compose.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment.
