Job Summary:
The Kitchen Helper assists the kitchen staff in food preparation, cleaning, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. This role is crucial in ensuring that the kitchen operates efficiently and that all food is prepared in a safe and hygienic manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing as needed.
- Help in assembling dishes as directed by the chef or cook.
- Portion and prepare food items for service.
- Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils.
- Clean kitchen surfaces, equipment, and appliances.
- Ensure that the kitchen is kept clean and organized at all times.
- Dispose of trash and other waste materials in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in storing food supplies, ingredients, and other kitchen items.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to the manager.
- Help with receiving and unpacking deliveries.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations while working in the kitchen.
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM1,800.00 per month
