The role consists mainly of (but is not limited to):
Supporting FundsPlace operational teams in achieving their objectives by leveraging a structured citizen developer framework, including solution development, lifecycle management, and risk compliance
Reviewing, challenging, and proposing business and technical solutions with end-users, including operational process flow reviews
Developing tools, queries, and automation solutions using MS Office, VBA, SQL, and technologies such as Power Platform, Power BI, and UIPath (Robotics)
Building and maintaining proper documentation for all tools and solutions
Ensuring compliance with operational risk boundaries and frameworks
Sharing best practices and knowledge with end-users and team members
Monitoring progress, reporting issues, and communicating updates regularly
Leading initiatives independently while collaborating with the team
Interacting with senior stakeholders with support from management
Qualifications
Experience in Funds Operations is an advantage
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Basic knowledge of VBA and/or SQL, with strong Excel skills (advanced knowledge is an advantage)
Willingness to learn new technologies such as Power BI, Power Platform, and UIPath
Client-focused with the ability to manage expectations and constructively challenge stakeholders
Able to work autonomously while maintaining a broad view within established frameworks
Capable of managing multiple projects in parallel
Dynamic, results-oriented, and a team player
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Requirements
3 - 5 years of experience in financial services or investment operations
Good knowledge of mutual funds and alternative investments is preferred
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong command of English (written and verbal); additional languages are a plus
Working Hours
3:00 PM – 12:00 AM or 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM (Malaysia time)
