Prism Consulting Group is partnering with a leading global insurance organisation to recruit an experienced Senior Manager- Data & Analytics to join its growing APAC Data & Analytics team based in Kuala Lumpur.

You will work closely with business leaders, data engineering teams, reporting specialists and technology partners to shape data products that enable better business decisions, analytics and reporting.

The Role

As the Senior Manager- Data & Analytics, you will be responsible for driving the development, prioritisation and business adoption of a regional Data Hub supporting operations through APAC.

You will work closely with Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Architecture, Technology and Commercial stakeholders to ensure data products are delivered with high quality, strong governance and measurable business value.

This role combines product ownership, stakeholder engagement, delivery coordination and commercial data expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Delivery

• Own and manage the product backlog for commercial data initiatives
• Translate business requirements into prioritised user stories and delivery plans
• Balance competing priorities, dependencies and delivery milestones
• Support roadmap planning aligned with regional data strategy

Business & Stakeholder Management

• Partner with Commercial business leaders across APAC to understand business priorities
• Collaborate with Business Intelligence and Reporting teams to deliver trusted reporting and analytics
• Work closely with Data Engineering, Technology and Architecture teams throughout delivery
• Build strong relationships across geographically dispersed and multicultural teams
• Facilitate discussions to align priorities, scope and delivery expectations

Commercial Data Platform

• Support the ongoing development of a regional Commercial Data Hub
• Define commercial data requirements and release priorities
• Coordinate testing, business validation and user adoption activities
• Maintain clear documentation, release notes and product artefacts
• Drive adoption of the platform as the single source of truth for commercial data

Data Governance & Quality

• Partner with Data Governance teams to embed data quality and governance standards
• Ensure business definitions, critical data elements and controls are consistently applied
• Monitor and resolve data quality issues throughout delivery
• Ensure governance, testing and sign-off processes are followed

Delivery & Team Support

• Track project milestones, risks and dependencies
• Prepare regular delivery updates for regional leadership
• Provide day-to-day guidance and mentoring to junior team members within the Malaysia Analytics Hub
• Contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across APAC

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

• Proven experience as a Data & Analytics Manager, Product Manager, Business Analyst or Data Delivery Lead
• Strong background delivering enterprise data platforms, business intelligence or analytics solutions
• Experience translating business requirements into prioritised product backlogs
• Strong stakeholder management across business and technology teams
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments
• Understanding of data governance, master data management and data quality principles
• Experience working within regional or global matrix organisations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics or a related discipline
• Relevant Agile, Product Owner or Scrum certifications are advantageous
