Key Responsibilities

  • Managing Discipline-Related Processes
  • Assist in the implementation of school discipline and student management systems.
  • Manage daily student discipline matters, including handling referrals, tracking follow-ups, and executing interventions.
  • Provide direct supervision, mentoring, and restorative conversations for students requiring behavioural support or closer monitoring.
  • Intervention & De-escalation Support
  • Manage the school’s designated "Pull-Out / Chill-Out" location for students undergoing temporary removal from class or in-house suspension.
  • Support students in de-escalating and regaining emotional regulation before they reintegrate into their lessons.
  • Respond promptly to calls for assistance from teachers regarding escalated student behaviours, which may include safely escorting students to intervention spaces.
  • Mentoring & Student Development
  • Conduct individual or small-group coaching, mentoring, and check-in sessions to build positive developmental relationships with at-risk and vulnerable youth.
  • Guide students in developing critical social-emotional competencies, conflict resolution skills, and self-management.
  • Fact-Finding & Investigation Support
  • Assist the Case Management Team (CMT) in conducting objective investigations into student incidents, including bullying and disciplinary infractions.
  • Gather written statements and accounts from involved students, collate evidence, and reconstruct timelines for case reviews.
  • Database Management & Reporting
  • Collaborate with the Year Head team to maintain, file, and update discipline records in the school's designated electronic databases.
  • Document student interventions, incidents, and investigation records accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Prepare clear case summaries, behavioural trend reports, and intervention outcomes for school management.
  • Stakeholder & Team Collaboration
  • Work closely as part of an ecosystem alongside the Case Management Team (CMT), School Counsellors (SC), Special Educational Needs Officers (SENO), and school leaders.
  • Provide operational feedback, observations, and case updates during intervention reviews and case discussions.
  • Support general student management supervision duties and school events/programmes related to student development.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience: Minimally possess 1 year of relevant working experience in youth work, social work, counselling, educational/behavioural support, student management, social services, or mentoring.
  • Preferred Background: Prior experience working within a school setting, youth mentoring, behavioural intervention, or investigation-related work is heavily advantageous. Experience supporting adolescents with complex emotional, attendance, or disciplinary needs is preferred.

  • Physical & Mental Agility: Must be physically and mentally fit, with the ability to react quickly and appropriately during active discipline enforcement scenarios.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to engage stakeholders effectively using active listening, clear communication, and basic counselling techniques when managing highly sensitive situations.
  • Investigation Skills: Capacity to support fact-finding and investigation procedures professionally, neutrally, and objectively.
  • IT Literacy: Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (specifically MS Word) and comfortable adapting to internal school databases
