Job Summary
The Junior IT Executive is responsible for providing first-level technical support, maintaining IT systems and equipment, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and assisting in the implementation and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure. The role ensures smooth day-to-day IT operations and supports employees with technology-related matters.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Support
- Provide first-level technical support to end users for hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, printer, email, and connectivity problems.
- Respond to IT support requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT personnel when necessary.
Hardware & Software Management
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT equipment.
- Set up user accounts, email accounts, and access permissions.
- Perform software installation, upgrades, and updates.
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets and equipment.
Network Support
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity.
- Support network devices such as switches, routers, and access points.
- Help identify and troubleshoot network performance issues.
System Administration
- Assist in managing user accounts and system access controls.
- Support server maintenance and routine system monitoring.
- Perform scheduled backups and verify data recovery procedures.
- Maintain documentation of IT systems and procedures.
Cybersecurity Support
- Ensure compliance with company IT security policies.
- Assist in monitoring antivirus and endpoint security solutions.
- Support data protection and information security initiatives.
- Report security incidents and vulnerabilities promptly.
IT Projects & Improvements
- Participate in IT infrastructure and system improvement projects.
- Assist with system migrations, deployments, and upgrades.
- Support implementation of new software and technologies.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of IT issues and resolutions.
- Prepare basic technical documentation and user guides.
- Submit periodic reports on IT support activities and equipment status.
RequirementsEducation
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- 1–2 years of relevant IT support experience is an added advantage.
Technical Skills
- Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of computer hardware and peripherals.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi).
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and helpdesk systems is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
