Job Descriptions & Responsibilities:

1. Transportation Management: Planning and arranging the transportation of materials and equipment to construction sites, ensuring timely delivery while optimizing costs and logistics routes.

2. Coordination with Teams: Collaborating & co-ordinating with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, forwarding/shipping vendors to ensure logistic activities including shipment are within project schedules and requirements.

3. Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and challenges in logistics operations, such as weather disruptions, supply chain bottlenecks, or transportation delays, and implementing contingency plans to mitigate them.

4. Compliance and Documentation: Ensuring compliance with regulations related to transportation, handling, and storage of construction materials and equipment, and maintaining accurate documentation for regulatory purposes.

5. Cost Control and Budgeting: Monitoring logistics expenses, optimizing resource utilization, and identifying opportunities for cost savings to stay within project budgets.

6. Continuous Improvement: Identifying areas for process improvement in logistics operations through data analysis, feedback and performance metrics, striving for greater efficiency and effectiveness.

7. Documentation Preparation: Prepare packing list and invoice for shipment, and ensuring the data is well recorded from internal delivery note for shipment.

8. Dealing with local authority: Prepare the Form D document from Material Cost Analysis, custom clearance, submission to the MITI and approval for delivery

9. Any ad-hoc assignments / tasks from time to time given by the immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements:

1. Minimum Diploma in Logistic or equivalent

2. Minimum 2 to 3 years working experience in supply chain / logistic / palm oil industry

3. Good knowledge and experience in dealing with MITI / e-Dagang for oversea shipment

4. Good knowledge and experience in preparing packing list, local and oversea shipments

5. Experience in dealing with forwarders, liners as well as transportation suppliers

6. Able to work independently as well as with other stakeholders in a dynamic working environment

7. Attention to details

8. Possess good skill sets on planning, execution, communication and problem solving skills

9. Able to converse in English & Bahasa Malaysia. Able to converse in Mandarin is an added advantage

10. Able to meet deadlines

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
