We are seeking a scientific content editor with a strong background in journal editing to oversee the peer review and editorial processes. This is a full-time editorial position based in Singapore or Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate submissions and oversee the peer review and editorial process.
• Supervise the scientific content and quality of the journal.
• Recruit high-quality research, commission, and manage a series of high-quality reviews and editorial content.
• Build relationships with researchers and represent the journal at scientific conferences and institutional visits.
• Contribute to the broader programs of the journal and help shape the future of scientific communication.
  
  

Requirements

• A PhD in molecular biology, biomedicine, life sciences, or related fields.
• Ability to think critically about a wide range of scientific issues.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Interest in engaging with the scientific community.
• Talent for distilling complex concepts and communicating them clearly.
• Ability to work well in different team environments.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Interest in or experience with STM (Science, Technology, and Medicine) academic publishing.
• We expect at least two years of editing experience for the Scientific Editor position, while the Associate Scientific Editor position does not require any prior editing experience.
