About Us

Elan New Energy Sdn Bhd is a renewable energy company specializing in Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Solar PV systems, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Solar EPC solutions, Operations & Maintenance (O&M), and Energy Management Solutions.

We are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer to support engineering design, project execution, commissioning, and technical coordination for solar projects throughout Malaysia.

Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering & Design

• Prepare single-line diagrams (SLD), electrical schematics, and technical drawings.
• Perform system sizing and design for Solar PV and BESS projects.
• Conduct site surveys and feasibility assessments.
• Prepare engineering calculations including cable sizing, voltage drop analysis, protection coordination, and inverter sizing.
• Review technical specifications and project requirements.

Project Management

• Coordinate project activities with clients, contractors, suppliers, and authorities.
• Monitor project progress, quality, safety, and schedule.
• Attend site meetings and prepare project reports.
• Assist in procurement and material verification.

Regulatory & Compliance

• Prepare and submit documents to TNB, SEDA, ST, and local authorities.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian electrical regulations and standards.
• Support licensing and authority approval processes.

Testing & Commissioning

• Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
• Perform testing and troubleshooting of PV systems, inverters, transformers, protection systems, and monitoring platforms.
• Prepare commissioning reports and handover documentation.

Operations & Maintenance

• Support troubleshooting and performance analysis of operating solar plants.
• Analyze energy production and system performance.
• Recommend corrective actions and system improvements.

RequirementsEducation

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Experience

• 1–5 years experience in Electrical Engineering, Solar PV, Renewable Energy, Power Systems, or related fields.
• Fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge are encouraged to apply.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of Solar PV system design and operation.
• Familiarity with TNB, ST, and SEDA requirements.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and engineering calculations.
• Experience with PVsyst is an advantage.
• Understanding of protection systems and power distribution.

Preferred Qualifications

• Registered Graduate Engineer with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
• Experience in Solar PV EPC projects.
• Experience in project management and site supervision.

Salary Range

RM4,000 – RM5,000 per month
(Depending on qualifications and experience)
