JOB REQUIREMENT / RESPONSIBILITIES
Role:
- Set up and troubleshoot molds and processes. Carry out routine mold maintenance during run.
- Ensure molding process setting is according to the Molding Data Sheet and set cycle time.
- To ensure all areas abide to the safety regulation, any concern on violation that may lead to safety issue has to be reported to his superior for action.
- Support production to meet customer demands
Responsibilities:
- To ensure quality parts are produced and meeting optimum output quantity.
- Assist the production supervisor to control scrap and manage material usage according to plan.
- To ensure all GMP S.O.P are religiously followed in all areas.
- Assist production supervisor to identify and initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of product, process and quality system non-conformances.
- Ensure corrective/improvement actions are implemented by subordinates timely.
- To ensure good communication and information is passed down during handover of shift.
- To prepare and ensure material/component parts available on time in order to minimize set-up time.
- Recommend quality improvement measures to immediate superior.
- Senior Technician to stand in during the absence of supervisor and provide guidance to technician and assistant technician
- Inspect molded parts to ensure compliance with ISO 13485, FDA, and customer specifications.
- Document process changes, inspections, and any non-conformances in production logs.
- Participate in validation activities (IQ, OQ, PQ) for new molds and processes.
ROLE AUTHORITY
- Approve machine startup, shutdown, and changeovers as per schedule.
- Make real-time process adjustments to ensure product quality.
- Stop production if serious defects, contamination, or safety risks are detected
EDUCATION / ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION
- NTC-2/Diploma or technical certification in Plastics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in injection molding, preferably in medical device manufacturing.
- Knowledge of scientific molding principles, material properties, and process optimization.
- Experience with automation systems, hot runner systems, and troubleshooting molding defects.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, mold specifications, and SOPs.
- Strong understanding of ISO 13485, GMP, and cleanroom manufacturing standards
KEY REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITY
- Able to speak and read English. Experience in plastic molding with highly discipline and demanding environment.
- Hands-on experience with different injection molding machines (Sumitomo, Engel, Nissei, etc.).

o 2K Molding
o Insert Molding, etc
- Basic robotics and automation knowledge.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve molding issues quickly.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a regulated environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to work in all shifts.
Pay: $2,200.00 - $2,800.00 per month
