Recognize changes to scope and notify the discipline Lead Engineer.
Interface with other departments to obtain input for Discipline designs and drawings.
Interact with suppliers, other discipline Engineers (Control & Instrumentation, Piping, Mechanical).
Document substantive communications (communications that result in significant decisions or assignment of actions) and forward copies to Discipline Lead Engineer and Discipline Manager.
Review vendor and subcontractor submittals, checking for compliance with project specifications and providing comments as necessary.
Check engineering performed by others within Discipline.
Process simulations (Hysys or similar) / Heat and material balances
Process flow diagrams (PFD)
Drafting and preparation of Piping and instrument diagrams (P&ID).
Equipment and instrument process datasheets
Process specifications
Equipment list (process data)
Line list (process data)
Equipment and line sizing calculations
PSV sizing calculations
Experience in Heat Recovery Systems (WHRUs, HRSG, CCPP) or Power Industry would be an added advantage.
Operating philosophy and startup and operating manuals.
Perform any other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
Pre-requisites:
Minimum bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.
Minimum 5 years in Design Engineering Consultant predominantly performing detail design.
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
Experienced in Auto Cad.
Familiar with the content and application of standards, codes and guidelines as applicable.
