We are seeking a Backend Developer with strong experience in Node.js, API development, cloud services, and database technologies to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building backend services, integrating cloud-based components, supporting deployment activities, and ensuring system reliability throughout the application lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
• Design and implement scalable backend solutions deployed on cloud platforms.
• Integrate backend services with databases, cloud storage, and workflow orchestration components.
• Develop and manage RESTful APIs, including API testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Implement asynchronous processing and long-running job orchestration workflows.
• Manage containerized applications and support deployment processes through CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement application logging, monitoring, error handling, and observability practices.
• Perform debugging, issue resolution, and performance tuning to ensure application reliability.
• Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), production deployment, post go-live monitoring, and enhancement cycles.
• Participate in incident management and provide technical support for production issues.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of backend development experience (maximum 5 years preferred).
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and Express.js.
• Strong knowledge and experience in REST API development, integration, and testing.
• Experience working with cloud services such as:
• AWS Lambda
• API Gateway
• Step Functions
• Container-based deployment environments
• Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience in PostgreSQL.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and deployment workflows.
• Familiarity with application logging, monitoring, and observability tools.
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile practices, and production support processes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to AWS cloud architecture and serverless development.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM7,500.00 per month
