Supports all operating sites in North Malaysia operation. Receives, plans and schedules major maintenance activities (including predictive/preventive, corrective maintenance and modification projects) to optimize utilization of all resources and facilitate safe, smooth and cost-effective execution within budget and schedule. Supports the Maintenance Engineer (North) for all turnarounds. The incumbent is jointly responsible for ensuring the highest safety standard during work execution.

• Assist Senior Maintenance Engineer (North) to plan and schedule major maintenance activities to optimize utilization of all resources and facilitate safe, smooth and cost-effective execution within budget and schedule.
• Assist Senior Maintenance Engineer (North) to plan and schedule turnarounds.
• Act as turnaround coordinator by organizing and leading maintenance resources.
• Chair turnaround meetings, reviews and prepares schedule, progress and post‑turnaround review reports.
• Assist Senior Maintenance Engineer (North) with predictive/preventive maintenance planning and scheduling.
• Ensure safe and effective execution and schedule compliance, including reporting.
• Review effectiveness of the predictive/preventive maintenance program using tools such as RCM, FMEA and inspection techniques such as oil analyses and other NDT.
• Maintain a mechanical integrity program and ensure compliance with the corporate MI program.
• Assist Senior Maintenance Engineer (North) in plant reliability improvement activities. Target root‑cause elimination in failures using tools such as FMEA, RCM or ARCA and ensure follow‑up actions are completed promptly.
• Liaise closely for site‑regular preventive maintenance programs as per SAP PM02 and safe task execution methodologies.
• Ensure specific PPE and tools are routinely audited and inventory reported to the plant manager.
• Ensure all maintenance information (e.g., equipment history records and fault reports) is accurately and promptly updated and maintained.
• Participate actively in EH&S activities, best‑practice initiation, sharing, continuous improvement and productivity initiatives.
• Keep abreast of the latest technological developments in operations and maintenance of the gas manufacturing industry.
• Manage and administer changes for ISO documents related to the overall maintenance program.
• Promote an atmosphere of team spirit through good example, open communication, listening and timely problem resolution.
• Handle other responsibilities as assigned according to operations and business requirements from time to time.
• Function as Food Safety Management Team Member for IG in MY. Facilitate audit processes to assess compliance of AP on‑site operations against AP’s standards or relevant applicable standards (e.g., ISO standards, AP Corporate EHS audits, customer audits). Ensure ISO documentation (9001/45001/14001) related to the maintenance department is updated and assist maintenance engineers/leads in raising eMOC if document change is required in the system.

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years working experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of industrial gas plants is preferred.
