Our client is a leading manufacturer of front and back-end automation equipment for the Semiconductor industry in Singapore. With ongoing and continued successes, they are recruiting a Mechanical Drafter to join their dynamic team.

about the job

• Prepare, develop, and issue complete CAD drawing packages—from conceptual space plans to detailed technical construction drawings—for new and remodeled retail stores.
• Issue CAD-based vendor packages to brand partners and oversee the design, fabrication, and installation of retail counters and fixtures.
• Conduct site surveys and ensure all design layouts strictly comply with internal corporate standards, landlord regulations, and local tenancy codes.
• Assist in securing all necessary statutory building permits and landlord design approvals prior to site mobilization.
• Partner with internal teams (Merchandising, Operations, IT) to map out merchandise layouts, MEP (mechanical/electrical/plumbing) requirements, and operational workflows.
• Monitor site execution, manage field changes, and track the construction schedule to ensure on-time and within-budget store handovers.

skills & experience required

To be successful in this position, you must have the ability to demonstrate or possess:

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Project Management, or a related technical discipline.
• Advanced, hands-on proficiency in AutoCAD (must be able to independently generate technical drawings, space plans, and multi-vendor design packages).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in project engineering, interior fit-outs, or store planning; direct experience running retail construction projects will be a plus
• Working knowledge of retail tenancy codes, building authority submission processes, and general fit-out construction methods.
