Job Summary

AKR CONSTRUCTION & ENGRG PTE. LTD. seeks a Supervisor / General Foreman to lead daily site operations, coordinate teams, and ensure projects meet timelines, safety standards, and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily construction site operations to ensure efficient workflow and timely project progress
• Lead and coordinate workers, subcontractors, and site teams to achieve project objectives and maintain productivity
• Interpret construction drawings and specifications to ensure work compliance and accuracy
• Monitor project progress and prepare detailed reports for the project manager to support decision-making
• Enforce compliance with Singapore construction safety regulations and Ministry of Manpower (MOM) requirements to maintain a safe work environment
• Conduct site inspections to uphold quality control standards throughout the project lifecycle
• Plan manpower allocation and schedule site activities to optimize resource utilization and meet deadlines
• Oversee proper use and handling of materials and equipment to prevent waste and damage
• Maintain site discipline and implement safety procedures to prevent accidents and promote a secure workplace
• Attend site meetings and contribute to progress updates and issue resolution with stakeholders

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction supervision or general foreman role
• Experience in building construction, renovation, or civil works projects
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans accurately
• Strong leadership and team management skills demonstrated through effective site coordination
• Good knowledge of Singapore construction safety standards and practices
• Effective communication and coordination skills to liaise with multiple stakeholders
• Relevant construction certifications advantageous but not mandatory
• Demonstrated responsibility, diligence, and ability to perform under pressure
