Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Admin Assistant to support our finance team with day-to-day accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, is well-organised, and is looking to grow their career in finance and accounting.
Responsibilities
- Process purchase and sales invoices accurately to ensure timely financial transactions
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date financial records to support audit readiness and reporting
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable activities to facilitate smooth cash flow management
- Respond promptly to supplier and internal finance queries to maintain effective communication and issue resolution
- Provide general finance and administrative support to enhance team efficiency and operational effectiveness
Required competencies and certifications
- Previous experience in an accounts or finance role demonstrating practical application of accounting tasks
- Basic understanding of accounting principles to support accurate financial processing
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) to manage financial data efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial information
- Good organisational and time-management skills to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks
- Fast learner and ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
