We are one of the largest lighting engineering solution providers with over 35 years working history in Hong Kong. In serving the specialized industries, we are looking for a high caliber to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Cost Management: Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and detailed Bills of Quantities (BoQ) for engineering projects.
Tendering & Procurement: Develop robust tender documentation, evaluate incoming bids, and support the selection of subcontractors and suppliers.
Contract Administration: Manage projects under standard forms of contract (e.g., NEC, JCT, or FIDIC ), ensuring strict adherence to notice periods, compensation events, and variation procedures.
Valuations: Tracking overall project and construction site progress, site co-ordination with clients, builders and subcontractors is necessary, conduct regular site visits to measure work progress, certify payments, and assess variations to ensure financial accuracy.
Financial Reporting: Maintain precise cost-value reconciliation (CVR) reports to track the financial health of projects (Profit=Revenue-Costs).
Claims Mitigation: Proactively identify contractual risks and assist in the negotiation and resolution of claims or disputes.
Diplomatic Skills: Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on value engineering, communicate effectively with site engineers, architects, and executive stakeholders.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or Engineering discipline.
3+ years of experience in the construction or engineering sector, with a proven track record on construction, government, or infrastructure projects.
Resourcefulness & experience in dealing with main contractors are highly preferred.
Familiarity with BIM-integrated cost tools is a significant advantage.
Self-initiative, aggressive, well organized, and independent work is necessary.
Team-oriented work attitude with eagerness to grow and upskill through cross-team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Proficiency in PC skills e.g. advanced Excel, Words, PowerPoint.
Good command in written & spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
