As part of the Data Transparency team, you will contribute to the development and operation of the technical foundations that enable finding, discovering and consuming data in BASF. Your focus will be on building and evolving workflows of the Data Catalog and on developing the APIs that integrate with other data platforms.


Responsibilities

• Design, implement and evolve workflows in the Data Catalog solution with strong focus on maintainability, testability and faster change cycles
• Modernize workflow logic by moving it into API-based implementations where it accelerates delivery, debugging and reuse across the data catalog ecosystem
• Develop, maintain and support backend APIs in Python to enable scalable integrations between different systems
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and release procedures for the APIs and data-related automation components, with emphasis on safe deployments, environment promotion and rollbacks
  
  
  

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing workflows using BPMN 2.0 and Groovy scripting
• Strong Python development experience, specifically with Django and Django REST Framework, building production-grade RESTful APIs
• Solid experience deploying and operating applications on Microsoft Azure (App Service / AKS / Container Apps, Azure Storage / ADLS Gen2, Azure AD & OAuth2, Key Vault, Application Insights)
• Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
• Fluent English, both written and spoken
