Role Overview

We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise application systems. The successful candidate will work closely with business users, vendors, and internal stakeholders to deliver application solutions, support operational requirements, and leverage AI-enabled tools to improve software development, data processing, and reporting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise application systems.

• Work closely with users, vendors, and internal stakeholders to gather requirements, perform analysis, develop solutions, conduct testing, and support implementation activities.

• Deliver software development and enhancement activities in accordance with project timelines and quality standards.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical support and knowledge sharing where required.

• Implement and support service requests related to internal business applications.

• Provide application support to internal users and external stakeholders.

• Utilise AI-enabled development tools to improve software development productivity, code quality, testing, and troubleshooting activities.

• Apply AI and machine learning tools to support data processing, analytics, and reporting initiatives.

• Support the implementation of AI-enabled solutions to improve ETL processes and reporting workflows.

• Ensure the appropriate, secure, and compliant use of AI tools in accordance with organisational IT and cybersecurity policies.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• At least 3 years of experience in software development and application support.

• Hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL, C#, .NET, Python, and scripting in Windows and/or Linux environments.

• Experience in ETL frameworks and data warehouse implementation.

• Knowledge of Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) practices.

• Familiarity with semiconductor industry processes will be an advantage.

• Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau or Microsoft Power BI.

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools will be advantageous.

• Exposure to machine learning, intelligent automation, or data processing technologies is beneficial.

Skills and Technical Competencies

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Good understanding of database technologies, SQL, and data access methodologies.

• Experience in requirements gathering and business analysis activities.

• Familiarity with AI-enabled tools and technologies supporting software development and reporting.

• Understanding of data-driven decision-making and reporting processes.

Additional Information

• Ability to support application deployments, maintenance activities, and incident resolution when operational requirements arise.

• Ability to work effectively with stakeholders across different functions and technology teams.

• Willingness to learn and apply emerging technologies, including AI-enabled development tools and automation technologies.
