- To plan, coordinate and carry out preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and breakdown repair for plant equipment, machinery and utilities.
- To troubleshoot mechanical and engineering issues and ensure minimum downtime to support production operation.
- To monitor and maintain maintenance records, inspection checklist, job orders and equipment history for proper documentation and traceability.
- To ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with safety, health, environmental and company requirements.
- To support installation, testing, commissioning and modification of machinery or equipment when required.
- To coordinate with Production, Warehouse, QAQC and other departments for maintenance work planning, shutdown activities and equipment availability.
- To supervise technicians, contractors and service providers to ensure work is completed safely, properly and within the required timeline.
- To monitor critical spare parts, tools and maintenance materials to ensure availability for repair and preventive maintenance activities.
- To conduct inspection and follow up on equipment condition, abnormal sound, leakage, vibration, wear and tear or any potential breakdown issue.
- To assist in improving machine reliability, energy efficiency, housekeeping and maintenance work quality.
- To provide technical support related to marine engineering knowledge, especially for rotating equipment, pumps, piping systems, boiler, compressor, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
- To ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, HACCP and company quality requirements during maintenance work in production areas.
- To report any unsafe condition, equipment defect, food safety issue or operational concern to the superior immediately.
- To perform other duties as assigned by Management from time to time.
C. Requirement / Qualification:
- Diploma / Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Possess Third Class Certificate of Competency (COC) Marine Engineer or related marine engineering certification.
- Minimum relevant experience in maintenance, marine engineering, plant operation, manufacturing or related engineering field.
- Able to troubleshoot mechanical equipment such as pumps, motors, compressors, valves, piping, gearbox, conveyor and related plant machinery.
- Knowledge in preventive maintenance, safety procedure, permit to work, lock out tag out and engineering documentation.
- Able to work independently, communicate with all levels and respond to breakdown or urgent maintenance requirements.
Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,167.64 per month
