About the role

Reporting to the Audit Senior, this full-time Audit Associate position at S.C. YONG CHIA & CO. in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial integrity and compliance of the company's operations. As an Audit Associate, you will be responsible for conducting thorough audits, analysing financial data and providing valuable insights to help the business improve its processes and controls.

What you'll be doing

1. Perform detailed audits of the company's financial records, transactions and accounting systems

2. Analyse financial data to identify potential risks, inefficiencies or discrepancies

3. Prepare comprehensive audit reports documenting your findings and recommendations

4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and streamline processes

5. Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards, regulations and best practices

6. Provide support and guidance to junior team members, contributing to their professional development

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

2. 1-2 years of experience in external auditing or a similar role

3. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

5. Proficiency in using accounting software and data analysis tools

6. Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, regulations, and best practices

7. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
