Duration: 8 months (Planned: 1 Aug 2026 to 31 Mar 2027) maternity cover
Title: Asst Manager (Controllership)
Salary up to $5,500
Duties & Responsibilities
Finance Operations & Support
Provide day-to-day finance operational support to faculties and units, including WBS master data creation/maintenance and budget transfers
Serve as a key point of contact to manage and resolve queries and operational issues in a timely manner
Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) for finance operations and master data are consistently achieved
Governance, Controls & Compliance
Ensure integrity of financial records and reporting through periodic housekeeping activities (Review of dormant WBS & balance sheet reviews)
Review and oversee financial master data governance to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and accounting standards
Review Risk Control Matrices (RCMs) prepared by units, assessing completeness and reasonableness, and recommend improvements
Ensure compliance with finance policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements through operational audit
Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement
Provide advisory support on finance policies, procedures, and transaction-related matters to ensure consistent application
Partner with finance and operational stakeholders to strengthen governance, accountability, and compliance
Identify recurring issues, control gaps, and process inefficiencies, and drive remediation actions
Participate in and support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, standardisation, and control effectiveness
Perform other duties as assigned to support team and organisational objectives
Requirements
Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, internal controls, and governance frameworks.
Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA Financial systems is an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with experience in data analysis and reconciliation
