Review and assess the current taxonomy structure and identify potential updates, alignments and extensions in accordance with regulatory requirements and SSM policies
Conduct taxonomy gap analysis covering Financial Statements (FS), Annual Returns (AR), Exemption Applications (EA) and emerging reporting requirements
Conduct technology benchmarking for modern XBRL solutions and evaluate gaps in current XBRL-based application performance, scalability and maintainability
Benchmark against global regulators that adopt XBRL, comparing end-to-end reporting lifecycles and highlighting differences in automation, user experience and turnaround time
Establish governance and decision-making structure for XBRL taxonomy oversight, including defined roles and responsibilities for internal and external stakeholders, and develop a Governance Roadmap
Conduct feasibility study for unified taxonomy extension with key regulators
Design, develop and enhance the new Taxonomy incorporating FS, AR, EA, Key Financial Indicators (KFI), ESG / Sustainability Reporting and future updates from MASB and applicable regulatory requirements
Develop validation criteria including refiling and rectification rules, calculation linkbase, formulas and business rules to ensure high quality financial data
Propose and develop new taxonomy for Sustainability Reporting Disclosure in XBRL format
Design and propose detailed taxonomy migration, conversion and versioning strategy to ensure data comparability across versions
Ensure taxonomy architecture is flexible, scalable and future-ready for IFRS updates and non-financial data requirements
Demonstrate taxonomy testing using XBRL-enabled software including generation of sample instances, human-readable format and iXBRL output
Conduct and submit all testing reports ensuring both existing and new function independently and in parallel without conflict, in XBRL, Word, Excel and iXBRL formats
Prepare taxonomy for public consultation through briefing and feedback sessions, analyze feedback and incorporate approved changes
Produce Taxonomy Guide for users and a detailed Taxonomy Architecture Document
