An Assistant Project Manager for fitting-out projects coordinates tasks, monitors site progress, liaises with clients and subcontractors, and assists with budgeting and scheduling to ensure projects meet design and quality standards. They are responsible for administrative duties, site inspections, managing project documentation, and communicating with all stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution and timely completion.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution:
Assist in planning and implementing interior fit-out projects, coordinating tasks, and managing project documentation and records.
Site Management:
Monitor safety, quality of work, and progress on-site, conducting site inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
Stakeholder Coordination:
Liaise with and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery and communication.
Communication:
Act as a communication link between the project manager, team members, clients, and contractors, facilitating effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Progress Reporting:
Track and report on project progress to the Project Manager, preparing reports and providing updates on milestones and deliverables.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in construction drawings and a good understanding of fitting-out technical aspects is crucial.
Software Proficiency:
Familiarity with project management software, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is often required.
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for coordinating with various parties.
Site Management:
Strong ability to manage and supervise site activities and a good knowledge of site safety protocols.
Project Management Knowledge:
A solid understanding of project management principles, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
Soft Skills:
Well-organized, hardworking, independent, and able to work effectively under pressure.
Diploma or above holder in Architectural, Interior Design, Building Studies or related subjects.
Over 5 years of experience in interior fitting out works or construction field.
Green card is needed.
Proficiency Spoken & Written in English and Mandarin.
Willing to travel in Great Bay Area, on-site work requires.
