About the role

Hong Kong RFID Limited is seeking a talented Programmer to join our growing engineering team. This is a full-time position based in Hong Kong SAR . In this role, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining software applications that power our innovative RFID solutions. You will work alongside experienced engineers and contribute to the development of cutting-edge technology that serves customers across various industries. This position plays a crucial role in the success of our product offerings and the overall growth of the company.
Key responsibilities

Develop, write, and test software code for new and existing applications, ensuring high standards of quality and performance

Collaborate with software architects and senior developers to design and implement efficient software solutions

Debug and troubleshoot software issues, identify root causes, and implement timely fixes

Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with team members

Document software specifications, development processes, and technical documentation

Contribute to the optimisation and improvement of existing software systems

Work with cross-functional teams including product managers, QA engineers, and systems specialists

Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in software development
What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C++, Java, Python, C#, or similar

Strong understanding of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms

Experience with version control systems such as Git

Familiarity with software development methodologies and agile practices

Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

Problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities

Preferred: Experience with embedded systems, IoT applications, or RFID technology

Preferred: Knowledge of SQL databases and cloud platforms

Preferred: Experience with software testing frameworks and automated testing
