Determine machining processes, set tool paths, select cutting tools, and verify programs to safely manufacture components to exact specifications.
- Create and modify CNC programs using CAD/CAM software to meet production requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC machinery and processes to minimize downtime.
- Blueprint Analysis: Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and CAD designs.
- Machining Strategies: Determine the best sequence of operations, make calculations for material cutting, and prepare tooling sheets.
- Operate and Setup CNC Lathe / Turning machine according to standard operating procedure.
- Testing & Quality Control: Run simulations or first-article (FA) test parts to validate the program, inspect final products, and perform quality assurance tests.
- Ensure goods produced meet to the quality requirement as stated in customer specifications.
- To assist on the continual process improvement.
- Produce accurate, high-quality components with maximum efficiency
- Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation
- Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized.
- Able to work under own initiative
Qualifications:
- Diplomas in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficient in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Min. 3 years’ experience in operating CNC Lathe / Turning machine
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Technical Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and experience with CAD/CAM software.
- Mathematical Skills: Strong mathematical capabilities for measurements, dimensions, and machine adjustments.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical abilities to detect and resolve errors in drawings or equipment during execution.
