Company Overview

Lighthouse School is a Special Education School funded by MOE at 51 Toa Payoh Rise. It educates children aged 7 to 18 with visual impairment and/or hearing loss through National Curriculum and Customised Curriculum Programmes.

Job Summary

The ICT Executive will manage school ICT projects, coordinate with MOE and vendors, propose technology solutions, and support ICT/AV resources to enhance teaching and learning.

Responsibilities

  • Manage school-initiated ICT projects and coordinate ICT project roll-outs while ensuring compliance with MOE policies, guidelines, and standards
  • Serve as the primary contact with MOE for ICT project dissemination and coordination
  • Provide regular project updates to the Head (ICT) and prepare relevant documentation and guidelines
  • Facilitate departmental and organizational ICT projects and manage vendor relationships to deliver technical solutions
  • Collaborate with the Head (ICT) to gather school ICT needs and propose solutions aligned with technical specifications and market pricing
  • Proactively research and evaluate technology trends and tools that support teaching and learning, and train school staff accordingly
  • Assist in preparing the annual Holistic ICT Work Plan with the Head (ICT)
  • Support procurement of ICT/AV equipment and services by coordinating with vendors on delivery and repair schedules
  • Provide end-user training and guidance to empower colleagues with relevant ICT skills
  • Manage ICT/AV resources including equipment replacement, condemnation, inventory management, IT records maintenance, license tracking, and equipment distribution and loans
  • Facilitate video conferencing and webinar sessions using applications such as MS Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet
  • Provide AV support for school meetings, conferences, events, and workshops
  • Assist with videography and photography services during events, including AV equipment setup and video production (editing and producing)

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Educational Technology, or related field
  • Preferably at least 3 years of experience working in MOE-funded schools
  • Experience managing contracts for ICT projects and liaising with ICT vendors
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, planning, analytical, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Good ICT technical knowledge to configure, install, and maintain school-owned IT hardware and software for end-user devices
