We are looking for a skilled Developer with expertise in AS400-based core banking systems to join our dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in software development and be able to contribute effectively to our banking solutions.

What You'll Do:

We are seeking a Junior Developer with 3-5 years of experience in AS400-based Core Banking environments to support and develop applications within the Channels & Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) domain. The role involves development, maintenance, troubleshooting, and production support of AS400 applications, with a strong focus on COBOL/400 programming, host integration, and DB2 database operations. The ideal candidate should have experience working in mission-critical banking systems and supporting integration between host and channel applications.Key Responsibilities:               Develop, maintain, and support Core Banking applications on the AS400 platform.                Design, code, test, and implement enhancements using COBOL/400.        Support Channels & EAI applications and interfaces integrated with host systems.              Perform incident analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution for production issues. Develop and maintain DB2 database objects, queries, and batch processes.     Collaborate with business users, analysts, and technical teams to implement functional and technical changes.                Support system integration activities between AS400 host applications and external channels.            Participate in release, deployment, and change management processes.                Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures for recurring issues.   Prepare and maintain technical documentation and support procedures. Required Skills:     3-5 years of experience in AS400 application development and support. Strong hands-on experience with COBOL/400 (mandatory).        Experience working with AS400/IBM i operating systems.        Proficiency in DB2 database development and query optimization.                Knowledge of Core Banking Channels and Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) concepts.            Experience in host integration and interfacing with external systems.                Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.    Experience supporting production environments and handling incident management.             Good communication and stakeholder management skills. Nice-to-Have Skills:Experience with DevOps practices and release automation.           Knowledge of ALDON for AS400 application lifecycle management and deployment automation.        Exposure to source code version control and change management processes.        Familiarity with banking payment, channel, or customer-facing systems.        Understanding of Agile development methodologies.                Experience with batch processing, job scheduling, and system monitoring on AS400.
