Test Manager

Location: Kuala Lumpur & Bangi (Travel between project sites may be required based on business needs.)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Test Manager to lead and manage end-to-end testing activities for large-scale projects within the banking industry. The successful candidate will oversee testing teams, define testing strategies, manage stakeholders, coordinate defect resolution, and ensure high-quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage IT and business testing teams throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain Test Strategy, Test Plans, and Test Approval Reports.
• Review test deliverables prepared by Test Leads, vendors, and business users.
• Monitor testing progress and provide daily/weekly status reports to stakeholders.
• Manage overall testing activities, including reviews, sign-offs, and risk mitigation.
• Facilitate communication between project stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Lead defect triage meetings and manage testing escalations.
• Coordinate Functional and Non-Functional Testing activities.
• Oversee test data preparation and testing environment readiness.
• Provide guidance on the use of JIRA, Confluence, and Zephyr for test management.
• Ensure adherence to testing standards, processes, and quality requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 13 years of experience in Test Management and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• At least 10–12 years of experience in the Banking/Financial Services industry.
• Proven experience managing large testing teams, including Test Managers, Test Leads, and Test Analysts.
• At least 5–10 years of experience leading testing activities for large-scale IT programs.
• Strong knowledge of functional and technical testing methodologies.
• Mandatory: ISTQB CTAL-TM Certification.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA and Confluence.
• Experience working in both Waterfall and Agile project environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Willing to work extended hours when required to support critical project timelines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Zephyr or other test management tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams in enterprise environments.

Pay: From RM12,000.00 per month
