Job Summary

Perform engineering analysis and supervise drafting to develop compliant, efficient designs. Coordinate project deliverables and resolve technical issues to ensure quality and client satisfaction in infrastructure, building, or industrial projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering analysis and prepare calculations that comply with Project Design Criteria, codes of practice, and company standards to ensure design accuracy and safety.
• Supervise drafters to produce engineering drawings that support practical and cost-effective design solutions.
• Prepare all project design deliverables including layout drawings, detail drawings, schedules, specifications, data sheets, calculations requisitions, and technical tender evaluations in line with project requirements and company procedures.
• Verify and ensure the technical integrity of all design deliverables before formal issue.
• Complete document checking and design verification tasks according to company and project procedures to maintain quality standards.
• Ensure all designs conform to customer requirements through effective liaison and coordination.
• Coordinate discipline activities with other consultants to achieve overall project design objectives efficiently.
• Attend project meetings as required and prepare accurate minutes to document discussions and decisions.
• Resolve technical problems on site by collaborating directly with the in-house Engineering Team or Professional Engineer (PE).
• Prepare tender specifications and assist the team in selecting competent vendors to support project procurement.
• Manage site supervisors (Resident Engineers/Resident Technical Officers) to ensure effective site operations.
• Support supervisors in the day-to-day execution of projects to maintain progress and quality.
• Undertake continuous learning and development to enhance professional skills and knowledge.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Graduate or postgraduate degree in Civil & Structural Engineering from a reputed university; degree recognized by PE Board is advantageous.
• Experience of 3 years with a proven track record in delivering infrastructural, building, or industrial projects, preferably in Singapore.
• Familiarity with Eurocode design standards.
• Knowledge of BIM modelling is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
• Proficient written communication skills.
