Job Summary

The Operations Executive supports the daily operations of construction projects by coordinating manpower, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and project documentation. The role ensures projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with project schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily site operations and project activities to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion
  • Liaise with project managers, site supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers to align resources and resolve issues
  • Monitor project schedules and track work progress to identify delays and implement corrective actions
  • Coordinate manpower deployment and maintain accurate attendance records for workforce management
  • Arrange timely material deliveries and equipment mobilisation to support uninterrupted site operations
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, reports, and records for effective project tracking
  • Assist in obtaining necessary permits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and verify work completion to maintain quality standards
  • Attend project meetings and prepare detailed meeting minutes to document decisions and action items
  • Enforce adherence to workplace safety policies and company procedures to maintain a safe working environment
  • Support project cost tracking and administrative tasks to facilitate budget management
  • Execute ad-hoc duties assigned by management to support operational needs

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Diploma in Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the construction industry
  • Familiarity with construction processes and site operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of BCA and workplace safety regulations is an advantage
  • Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills applied in construction project contexts
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
