About the Team
We are a hardware engineering team supporting hyperscale server programs, primarily working on Microsoft-related projects. The team focuses on new product introduction (NPI), covering end-to-end server system development from design to production. Engineers collaborate closely across regions, with most cross-functional meetings aligned to Asia working hours.
Role Summary
We are looking for a Hardware Engineer with experience in server or system-level design to support rack-level server development (L10/L11). This role will be responsible for system hardware design, motherboard development, and cross-functional issue resolution throughout the product lifecycle.
Candidates with desktop (DT) or notebook (NB) experience are also welcome, especially if they have solid motherboard design exposure.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop hardware systems for server products, including motherboard-level design
Execute system hardware design, bring-up, functional verification, and validation activities
Develop test fixtures and support debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
Create and maintain system and motherboard documentation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., firmware, manufacturing, quality) to resolve hardware/software issues
Support product lifecycle stages including NPI, pilot run, demo, and mass production
Participate in design reviews, propose technical solutions, and align with customer requirements (e.g., Microsoft)
Work with global teams to ensure design readiness and manufacturing success
Skills & Experience
Must-have
3–10 years of hardware design experience
Hands-on experience in motherboard or system-level hardware design
Good understanding of server system architecture
Experience with hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation
Ability to work across product development stages (design
production)
Strong problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills
Good-to-have
Experience in server platform development (preferred)
Experience with rack-level server systems (L10/L11)
