Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Greater Kuala Lumpur for individuals in a retired career stage who wish to stay professionally engaged. The role focuses on providing advisory support, drawing on prior industry and professional experience to guide teams on best practices, operational improvements, and problem-solving. Day-to-day activities may include mentoring junior team members, participating in project discussions, reviewing plans or documentation, and offering insights on process efficiency and risk mitigation. The individual may also support knowledge transfer, contribute to internal training sessions, and provide input on strategic initiatives when needed. Work schedules and responsibilities may be tailored to align with the candidate’s experience, interests, and availability, while maintaining a consistent full-time presence on-site.
Qualifications
- Extensive professional experience in manufacturing, operations, engineering, supply chain, quality, or related fields, preferably in paper, packaging, or industrial environments.
- Proven ability to mentor, coach, and share knowledge effectively with diverse teams and junior professionals.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work respectfully across different levels and functions.
- High level of integrity, reliability, and accountability, with a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Comfort working on-site in an industrial or office environment in Greater Kuala Lumpur and contributing on a full-time basis.
- Openness to learning new systems and processes, and willingness to adapt prior experience to current business needs.
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or specialist experience is highly beneficial; exposure to large-scale or multinational organizations is an advantage.
