Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Engineering Manager role based in Bayan Lepas. The Mechanical Engineering Manager will lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and ensuring adherence to engineering standards and safety practices. The role includes overseeing mechanical design and development activities, reviewing CAD drawings, and validating engineering calculations and specifications. The manager will coordinate and manage engineering projects, including planning, resource allocation, timelines, and risk mitigation, while collaborating closely with production, quality, and supply chain teams. Responsibilities also include driving process improvements, supporting root-cause analysis for mechanical issues, preparing technical documentation and reports, and engaging with customers and stakeholders on engineering requirements and solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, including mechanical design, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Demonstrated experience in Engineering Management and Team Leadership, including mentoring, performance management, and resource planning.
• Proficiency in Project Management, with the ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
• Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and the ability to review and approve detailed engineering drawings.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience in high-precision manufacturing, CNC machining, or ISO 9001–certified environments is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills, with a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across cross-functional and multicultural teams.
