JD Network Manager

We are seeking an experienced and highly technical Network Manager to oversee, design, and maintain our mission-critical network infrastructure within the Financial Services Industry (FSI). In this role, you will lead a team of network engineers to ensure 24/7 network availability, high performance, and strict adherence to financial regulatory and security standards.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in FSI environment complexities, robust experience in managing large-scale enterprise networks, and proven leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management: Oversee the architecture, deployment, configuration, and maintenance of the global enterprise network (LAN, WAN, WLAN, Data Center, and Cloud networking).
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of network engineers. Assign tasks, manage performance, and foster a culture of continuous learning.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure network infrastructure complies with FSI security standards and local regulatory requirements (e.g., Bank Negara Malaysia's RMiT, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001). Implement robust network security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
• Operations & Availability: Ensure 99.99% network uptime. Monitor network performance, proactively identify bottlenecks, and lead high-priority incident resolutions (P1/P2 incidents).
• Vendor & Budget Management: Manage relationships with external vendors, ISPs, and contractors. Assist in budgeting for network hardware/software lifecycle and licensing.
• Disaster Recovery: Design, implement, and regularly test Network Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Plans (BCP).
• Project Management: Lead network-related projects, including data center migrations, cloud integration (AWS/Azure), and hardware refreshes, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership/managerial role.
• Mandatory: Direct experience working within the Financial Services Industry (FSI), banking, or fintech sectors.
• Technical Skills:
• Expertise in routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VXLAN).
• Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade hardware (Cisco, Arista, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto).
• Strong knowledge of Cloud Networking (AWS/Azure) and Software-Defined Networking (SD-WAN / SD-Access).
• Certifications (Highly Preferred): CCIE, CCNP, CISSP, CISM, or ITIL.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving skills under pressure, strong stakeholder management, and excellent verbal/written communication skills.

Pay: RM3,473.44 - RM10,000.00 per month
