Position : ProTech Assistant Manager
Salary : RM 5,500 – RM 8,000
Location : Desa Aman Puri, Kepong
Working Hours : 8.30am – 5.30pm (Mon-Fri)
Job Summary
We are seeking a ProTech Assistant Manager to oversee ICT infrastructure, Managed Services, and internal IT operations. This role combines technical expertise and leadership responsibilities to ensure stable service delivery, efficient team coordination, and alignment of IT services with business and client expectations.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the management of ICT infrastructure, Managed Services, and internal IT operations to ensure system availability, performance, and reliability
- Plan and coordinate delivery of ICT and Managed Services projects in accordance with client requirements, SLAs, and timelines
- Supervise technical teams by assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring effective collaboration and service delivery
- Oversee Managed Services operations including cloud, network, cybersecurity, and IT support activities aligned with ITIL practices
- Act as a point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders, providing updates and managing service expectations
- Provide escalation support for complex ICT, network, and system issues, coordinating with vendors and internal teams for resolution
- Monitor service performance, SLA compliance, and system health, and prepare operational reports for management review
- Identify and implement improvements to ICT services and IT operations to enhance efficiency and service quality
- Maintain proper documentation for systems, processes, and service records
- Support resource planning, capacity management, budgeting, and team development initiatives
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CCNA/CCNP, Microsoft certifications, CompTIA, or equivalent are an advantage
- Strong understanding of ICT infrastructure including servers, networking, cloud, and cybersecurity
- Hands-on experience with Managed Services tools such as ITSM platforms, monitoring, and backup solutions
- Knowledge of ITIL, COBIT, or similar service management frameworks
- Experience in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies is a plus
- Proven experience in leading or coordinating technical teams
- Strong planning, organizational, and multitasking abilities
- Experience working with clients, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Good communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Typically 3–5 years of IT experience, including 1–2 years in a supervisory or assistant managerial role
- Willingness to work flexible hours or on-call when required
- Strong discipline in documentation and service management practices
Pay: RM5,500.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
