Position Purpose

Maintenance Technicians are responsible for the hands-on execution of approved Preventive Maintenance tasks across all assigned systems and equipment at the KTP-A Data Center. Technicians operate strictly within the approved PM scope and under the supervision of the Lead Electrical or Lead Mechanical Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

PM Task Execution

• Execute assigned preventive maintenance tasks in accordance with approved PM checklists, method statements, OEM manuals, and safety procedures
• Perform scheduled inspections, cleaning, lubrication, testing, calibration, filter replacements, and other PM activities as directed
• Record all task execution data accurately on PM checklists and report completion status to the supervising engineer
• Operate strictly within the approved PM scope – no corrective, emergency, or ad-hoc works are to be initiated independently

Safety Compliance

• Comply fully with Day One’s site safety rules, permit-to-work requirements, LOTO procedures, and PPE requirements at all times
• Attend all required safety briefings, toolbox talks, and QESH trainings
• Report any unsafe conditions, near-misses, or hazards immediately to the supervising engineer

First-Response Observation (Non-Corrective)

• During PM rounds, observe and report any system anomalies, deficiencies, or unusual conditions to the supervising engineer
• Technicians are NOT authorised to perform corrective actions independently – all observations must be formally reported and await Day One’s written authorisation

Qualifications & Experience

• Certificate / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline
• Minimum 3 years’ hands-on maintenance experience in data center, industrial, or critical infrastructure environments
• Valid Chargeman certification (A0/A1/A2) for technicians performing electrical tasks is required
• Competency in at least one of the following: UPS maintenance, CRAC/CRAH maintenance, HV/LV switchgear maintenance, or generator maintenance
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and OEM manuals

Job Type: Contract

Pay: From RM4,000.00 per month
