Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Technician role based in Johor Baharu. The Technician will support the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems, equipment, and facilities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient performance. Typical tasks may include conducting routine inspections, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and responding to service requests in a timely manner. The role may involve working with HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and other building services, as well as coordinating with vendors and contractors when necessary. The Technician will also help maintain accurate maintenance records, follow safety and compliance procedures, and collaborate with property and facilities management teams to support client and occupant needs.

Qualifications

  • Technical proficiency in building systems and equipment, such as basic electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and general facilities maintenance.
  • Ability to perform inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs using appropriate tools, instruments, and safety practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and complete tasks within established timeframes.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues, vendors, contractors, and building occupants.
  • Basic computer literacy to update work orders, maintenance logs, and reports using digital tools or maintenance management systems.
  • Relevant technical certification, diploma, or vocational training in engineering, building services, facilities maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in property, facilities, or building maintenance is an advantage, particularly within commercial or institutional real estate environments.
  • Commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous learning in technical and operational best practices.
