Role Overview:

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a CAD Expert on a contractual basis to create, review, and optimize 3D mechanical designs for AI hardware integration. The role involves ensuring designs meet performance, manufacturability, and compliance standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine product specifications. This work directly impacts the development of next-generation AI infrastructure, requiring precision and adherence to industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and modify 3D CAD models for mechanical components used in AI hardware systems.

• Conduct detailed design reviews to validate structural integrity, thermal performance, and manufacturability.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve design conflicts and implement feedback from simulations or testing.

• Generate technical documentation, including drawings, assembly instructions, and bill of materials for production.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and client-specific requirements for design validation and certification.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Fusion 360, with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience.

• Experience designing mechanical components for hardware systems, preferably in technology or AI infrastructure.

• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and mechanical design best practices for precision engineering.

• Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into manufacturable CAD models.

• Familiarity with simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL) and design validation processes for thermal and structural analysis.
