We are seeking for aspiring Field Engineer to join our talented team. The ideal candidate will apply engineering principles and techniques to perform equipment engineering in a manufacturing environment, ensuring proper installations and maintenance of equipment to minimise production delay.
Beyond immediate operational support, this role is designed to build a strong professional foundation in semiconductor engineering. The engineer will develop disciplined execution, structure problem solving skills and an understanding of how processes, equipment, materials interact within a manufacturing system, enabling progression to undertake advanced engineering responsibilities or long-term career growth within the semiconductor industry.
What you will be doing:
Equipment Operation & Standard Recovery
- Perform routine tool operation and execute approved recovery procedures
- Restore equipment functionality in accordance with defined methods and safety protocols
- Escalate non-standard conditions promptly to protect wafer integrity and tool performance
Troubleshooting Support
- Expected to acquire first-level troubleshooting capabilities
- Follow structured diagnostic approaches and established workflows
Documentation & Data Integrity
- Maintain clear, accurate and structured records of troubleshooting incidents that meet manufacturing-grade traceability standards and supports downstream analysis
- Exercise professional judgment by escalating when needed, arranging further evaluation and advising follow up checks for abnormal findings
Customer Interface
- Strengthen customer trust and reputation
- Provide timely and professional updates on issue status
- Support communication during troubleshooting activities
- Maintain composure and clarity in a production environment
Preventive Maintenance Support & Continuous Improvement
- Execute assigned preventive maintenance tasks
- Identify recurring patterns and escalate observations for further analysis
What we are looking for:
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Material Science/Chemistry Engineering or its equivalent
- 2 to 6 years of relevant experience with semiconductor equipment knowledge
- Strong communication and good interpersonal skills
- Meticulous, organized and resourceful team player
- Highly motivated individual who works independently with minimal supervision
- Work in cleanroom environment
- Required to work or on standby after office hours/weekend/public holiday
