Duties and Responsibilities

• Metrology Technician is responsible for interpreting 2D part drawings to identify critical dimensions and material strength specifications, in order to determine the appropriate inspection and testing criteria based on engineering requirements.
• Metrology Technician is responsible for measuring the critical dimensions of incoming parts using a variety of precision tools, such as calipers, micrometers, CMMs, height gauges, weighing balances, and others. He/ She is required to verify part dimensions against engineering drawing tolerances and technical specifications to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Metrology Technician is responsible for setting up and performing Static Load Tests on parts as specified by engineering drawings to verify the material strength.
• Metrology Technician is responsible for accurately recording measurements, test data, and observations in inspection reports to ensure proper documentation and traceability.
• Metrology Technician is responsible for reporting any failures or deviations from expected specifications or performance criteria to Metrology Engineer for further action.
• Metrology Technician is responsible for ensuring all measuring tools and equipment are calibrated, clean, and maintained in good working condition, and for reporting any issues requiring repair or recalibration to Metrology Engineer.
• Metrology Technician shall assist the Metrology Engineer with any additional tasks as requested.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in any engineering field
• Fresh graduates or 1-2 years of engineering work experience in manufacturing work environment are welcome to apply.
• Understanding of Engineering Drawings.
• Able to operate Microsoft Office applications for data entry, tracking, recording and documentations.
• Able to work alternate shift (morning/night)
• Hardworking and resilient, obedient to orders, responsible and diligent in duty, meticulous in execution.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From RM1,700.00 per month
