Cloud Security Specialist

• Working Hours: Normal office working hours
• Working Location: Central
• Remuneration Package: Up to $8,500 + AWS + VB

We are seeking a Cloud Security Specialist to help design, implement, and maintain cloud security strategies that protect our data and infrastructure. This role involves working with the cloud security team to develop secure cloud architectures, ensure compliance with policies, and support security operations across various cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Security Strategy & Implementation:

• Assist in implementing cloud security strategies and roadmaps in alignment with organizational goals.
• Contribute to the development of a culture of security awareness across teams.

Security Architecture & Design:

• Support the design and deployment of secure cloud architectures and solutions.
• Evaluate and recommend cloud security technologies and tools.
• Collaborate with architecture and infrastructure teams to integrate security into cloud deployments.

Identity & Access Management (IAM):

• Assist in developing and maintaining IAM policies and controls.
• Ensure secure and compliant access to cloud environments.
• Monitor IAM systems and integrate with enterprise identity platforms.

Policy & Compliance:

• Support the implementation of cloud security policies and standards.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Assist with security audits and risk assessments.

Risk Management & Incident Response:

• Perform risk assessments and help develop mitigation strategies.
• Participate in incident response for cloud-related security events.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions as needed.

Collaboration & Training:

• Work closely with DevOps, IT, and application teams to embed security into the development lifecycle.
• Share cloud security best practices within the team and support knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Collaborate with third-party vendors and partners to implement security solutions.

Monitoring & Reporting:

• Operate and maintain cloud security monitoring tools.
• Analyze logs and alerts to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Contribute to security metrics and reporting processes.

Requirements:

• 3–5+ years of experience in cloud security, with hands-on exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Good understanding of cloud security frameworks and secure architecture practices.
• Experience with cloud security tools (e.g., AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center).
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Shell) and using automation tools (e.g., Terraform).
• Understanding of container security and IAM systems.
• Industry certifications such as OSCP, CISSP, CCSP, or AWS Certified Security – Specialty.
• Cloud platform certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
