Role Overview

We are seeking a technically savvy and resourceful Material Resource Manager to support design projects and oversee the management of the company’s material library. The ideal candidate should be familiar with Singapore’s local material supplier market, capable of sourcing and evaluating quality material resources, and able to build strong working relationships with suppliers. This role also requires strong multitasking abilities to support design coordination, supplier management, and business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Material Sourcing & Supplier Management

1. Source and evaluate quality materials and finishing resources for design projects and the company’s material library.
2. Establish and maintain strong relationships with local material suppliers and brands in Singapore to ensure access to high-quality and competitive material resources.
3. Continuously explore new material brands, suppliers, and innovative products to expand material options for the design team.
4. Coordinate with suppliers regarding samples, product information, pricing, and technical specifications.

• Material Library Management

1. Oversee the overall management of the company’s material library, including sample organization, categorization, registration, and updates.
2. Develop and maintain a material database to ensure the design team can easily access relevant material information.
3. Provide material research support and product information to designers to assist with material selection for design proposals.

• Project Support

1. Work closely with the design team to provide material selection support during concept development and detailed design stages.
2. Recommend suitable materials based on project design direction, quality requirements, and budget considerations.

Job Requirements:

1. Higher diploma and above;
2. Minimum three years of experience in design luxury hospitality industry;
3. Experiences as Librarian or having experiences to deal with different suppliers/ vendors is a plus;
4. Able to work and communication with the team members
5. Positive attitude and takes pride in the project
6. Mandarin speaker is a bonus to meet our business needs with our HQ Team in China.
7. Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident is preferred.
