The General Manager will be based in Penang and report to the VP of Operations.

This role is responsible for leading overall site operations and business performance, with a strong focus on driving revenue growth, maximizing gross margins, and delivering operational excellence.

The GM will oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, manufacturing, and supply chain to ensure sustainable business growth, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Business & Financial Leadership

• Drive revenue growth and profitability, with a focus on maximizing gross margins
• Develop and execute business strategies aligned with company objectives
• Evaluate market opportunities and build strategic partnerships with key customers
• Product & Innovation Management
• Lead product lifecycle management, from design to commercialization and end-of-life
• Collaborate closely with Research & Development (R&D) and engineering teams on product innovation initiatives
• Ensure product competitiveness in terms of cost, quality, and market positioning

Operations & Supply Chain

• Oversee manufacturing operations, production planning, and capacity management
• Ensure efficiency, cost optimization, and adherence to quality standards
• Lead end-to-end supply chain, including procurement, materials management, logistics, and warehousing
• Drive continuous improvement in operational KPIs (OTD, cycle time, cost, inventory, quality)

Customer & Stakeholder Management

• Engage with key customers and senior stakeholders, including participation in high-level negotiations
• Drive customer satisfaction and long-term business partnerships

Organizational & Leadership

• Build and lead high-performing cross-functional teams
• Strengthen capabilities across Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Operations, HR, and Finance
• Foster a performance-driven and collaborative culture

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; MBA preferred
• 12+ years of overall experience, with significant leadership exposure in manufacturing / product-based environment
• Proven experience as a General Manager / Site Leader / Senior Operations Leader
• Strong track record in:
• Revenue growth & P&L management
• Gross margin improvement
• Product lifecycle and NPI management
• Solid experience in manufacturing operations and supply chain management
• Ability to lead large teams and manage multi-million-dollar business operations
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
• Experience working with OEMs / ODMs / MNC manufacturing environments
• Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence and transformation initiatives
