Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Civil & Structural Design Engineer role based in Kuching. The engineer will prepare civil and structural design calculations, drawings, and specifications in accordance with relevant codes and project requirements. Daily tasks include performing structural analysis, coordinating with drafters on design details, and reviewing drawings for accuracy and constructability. The role involves liaising with clients, architects, and contractors to clarify technical issues, attend meetings, and support design reviews. The engineer will also assist with site visits, design verification, and the preparation of technical reports and documentation to support project approvals and submissions.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design, with the ability to apply engineering principles to building and infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in Structural Engineering and Structural Analysis, including the use of relevant design codes and analysis software.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution; professional registration with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) or progress toward it is an advantage.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, prepare technical documentation, and communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
• Familiarity with common engineering and drafting tools (e.g., structural analysis software, CAD/BIM platforms) and strong numerical and problem-solving skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment and meet project deadlines.
