ROLE
The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the company’s financial health by managing both Financial Accounting and Management Accounting roles. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and provides insights to support business decision-making and growth. You will oversee accounting procedures and prepare forecasts, budgets and risk analysis for management, ensuring business growth and long-term success of the school.

JOBRESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide financial analysis and guidance to support business decisions and strategy
• Develop and maintain internal financial controls and policies
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial efficiency
• Oversee full-set accounting
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards, financial regulations and company policies
• Manage internal and external audits
• Process invoices, verify payments, raise invoices, allocate customer receipts, and follow up on overdue accounts
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies
• Ensure timely tax filings and statutory compliance
• Ensure Xero accounting is accurate and supports business understanding
• Ability to integrate Annual Operating Planning (Budgets), Accounting Systems (General Ledger/COA) and practical implementation

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related discipline
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA) preferred
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role
• Strong financial analysis and strategic thinking ability
• Working knowledge of accounting standards, compliance and financial planning
• Proficiency in Xero accounting systems
• Outstanding Excel Spreadsheet skills, including use of
  -      Pivot tables, Lookup, Text, Date &Time, Error handling, Conditional
  -      Knowledge of Python would be advantageous  

• Detail oriented with strong focus on accuracy
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
