Role Description The Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Programmer at DMR Design & Build is a full-time, on-site role based in Puncak Alam. The CNC Programmer will create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for machining components used in interior fit-out and related projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include interpreting technical drawings, CAD models, and specifications; selecting appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds; and preparing setup sheets and work instructions for machine operators. The role involves collaborating with designers, engineers, and production teams to ensure parts meet quality, dimensional, and aesthetic requirements while minimizing waste and production time. The CNC Programmer will also support machine setup, troubleshoot machining issues on the shop floor, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong CNC Programming skills, including generating and optimizing G-code and using CAM software for 2D and 3D machining operations.
• Hands-on Machining abilities, with experience in operating and setting up CNC milling and/or turning machines, selecting tooling, and verifying part quality with measuring instruments.
• Ability and willingness for Teaching and knowledge sharing, including guiding machine operators, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to process documentation and training materials.
• Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings, CAD models, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Familiarity with materials commonly used in interior construction (e.g., wood, composites, metals, laminates) and their machining characteristics.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to precision and safety in an on-site manufacturing environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with design, engineering, and production teams.
• Relevant technical certification or diploma in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, CNC Technology, or a related field; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
• Prior experience in joinery, furniture manufacturing, interior fit-out, or related industries is an advantage.
