A leading global financial institution is expanding its advanced analytics and AI capabilities and is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer (GenAI) to join its regional centre of excellence in Singapore.

This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge GenAI initiatives, partnering with stakeholders across multiple markets to deliver innovative, data-driven solutions at scale.

The Opportunity

You will join a high-performing regional AI team focused on developing next-generation analytics solutions across a diverse portfolio of business areas. The role provides strong exposure to complex problem-solving, cross-border collaboration, and emerging AI technologies.

You will play a key role in building and deploying AI-driven solutions that enhance decision-making, optimise processes, and unlock new business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy GenAI and agent-based AI systems for enterprise use cases
• Drive end-to-end machine learning workflows, from data processing to model deployment and monitoring
• Translate business problems into scalable ML and AI solutions
• Experiment with and productionise emerging AI frameworks, models, and tools
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across business, engineering, and global AI functions
• Communicate technical solutions and insights effectively to a range of stakeholders

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Hands-on experience building and deploying GenAI / LLM-based applications (e.g. RAG pipelines, summarisation, inference, OCR workflows)
• Strong understanding of LLM architectures, token economics, and optimisation techniques
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in APIs, ETL pipelines, and system integration
• Experience with cloud platforms and data tools (e.g. AWS, Azure, Databricks, Spark)
• Familiarity with software engineering best practices (e.g. microservices, RESTful APIs, CI/CD)
• Exposure to front-end frameworks or data visualisation tools is a plus
• Proven experience delivering ML or AI solutions into production environments
