Roles And Responsibilities

Provide overall leadership and strategic oversight of civil engineering and construction operations
Drive business performance across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and HQ expectations
Oversee project portfolios, including budget performance, resource allocation, and profitability
Establish and enforce governance frameworks for project delivery, safety, quality, and compliance standards
Review and approve major project plans, contracts, and commercial strategies
Lead senior project and operations teams, ensuring strong execution capability across all sites
Manage key stakeholder relationships including clients, joint venture partners, consultants, and regulatory bodies
Report regularly to Japanese Headquarters on operational performance, risks, and strategic initiatives
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, cost control, and project outcomes
Lead risk management and ensure appropriate mitigation strategies are in place across all projects

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
Minimum 15 years of experience in civil engineering, infrastructure, or construction industries
At least 8 years in senior leadership or general management roles overseeing multiple projects or business units
Strong track record in delivering large-scale, complex infrastructure or construction portfolios
Deep understanding of commercial management, contract strategy, and project governance
Proven ability to lead senior teams and influence at executive level
Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L responsibility
Fluency in Japanese is required due to regular engagement and reporting with Japanese Headquarters
